“This is not another programming school for those who have the money to pay for their studies; these modern higher education studies are intended for hardworking and persistent people who will take responsible positions in strong technology companies already next year”, emphasizes the head of Turing College, Lukas Kaminskis.
The unique study program was developed with the help of well-known technology study consultants, taking into account the feedback from employers. Organized studies will take place remotely, using IT companies’ work organization methods and technological solutions. It will be one of the most innovative IT training concepts in the world.
Turing College will focus not only on technical knowledge but also on social skills and career planning. The aim is to ensure that specialists who have completed their studies do not experience the “newcomer syndrome” that requires a long adaptation in their future workplaces and to get a return on the acquired knowledge as soon as possible.
Motieka Investment Fund, one of the most successful security technology companies Tesonet, e. commercial newsletter startup “Omnisend”, computer game industry representatives “Unity Technologies LT”, one of the most active early-stage investors and accelerators in Europe “Startup Wise guys” invested 1.2 million EUR to Turing College. The model of alternative studies of technologies also attracted the attention of the European Union Scientific Development Fund, which allocated a significant part of the investments for their development.
“Turing College” is the first Lithuanian startup to enter the Silicon Valley accelerator “Y Combinator”.
